J.League 1 R5 – Shimizu vs Shonan Preview

Shimizu S-Pulse – Shonan Bellmare:

Shimizu are yet to win in the league and they have been one of the weakest teams in the league defensively so far with 11 conceded goals in 4 matches. They did well to earn a late draw vs Kobe away last round but truth were they were lucky not to lose and the team is not performing up to their full potential at the moment.

Shonan got 2 wins and 2 losses so far and have performed pretty good considering the teams they’ve met.  I rate these 2 teams as fairly even but form-wise Shonan should have a small advantage. They haven’t met too often in recent years but last year Shimizu won 4-2 here so the match definitely got potential for goals too.

Expected Starting Lineup Shimizu:
25Matsubara – 33Wanderson – 3Hwang Seok Ho – 18Elsinho(I)
30Kaneko – 17Kawai(I) – 6Takeuchi –20Nakamura*
9Chong Tese – 23Kitagawa

Shonan Expected Starting Lineup:

Prediction: 2-1 or 2-2

Odds Info:

This match can go either way and I don’t agree Shimizu should be this big favorites. Shonan 1×2 @ 3,19 (10 units) is worth having a look at, and I also got some value on Over 2,5 @ 1,89 (10 units).
