Nagoya Grampus – Consadole Sapporo:
Nagoya’s winning streak came to an end last round when they lost 0-1 vs Tokyo away but they put in a decent performance and could just as well have won that game. They will try to bounce back here vs Consadole, but they have had a tendency to struggle at home before and lost 1-2 in the same fixture last season.
Consadole were outsmarted by Kashima at home last round and lost 1-3, and struggled to get their fluid, counter-attacking “Mischa-style” football going. Prior to that they had 2 straight wins and I think Nagoya is an opponent that fits them much better than Kashima.
Both teams can field close to a full-strength squad, but for Nagoya we will see a surprise inclusion of the over-rated Aria Jasuru Hasegawa in the starting lineup which can only be an advantage for Consadole in my opinion. So this match is quite open, but I expect goals at think both teams will get on the scoresheet.
Nagoya Expected Starting Lineup:
6Miyahara – 17Maruyama – 20Nakatani – 23Yoshida
9Hasegawa* – 2Yonemoto – 8Simic – 29Izumi*
7Jo(K) – 10Gabriel Xavier(K)
MF Aoki (S/R)
Consadole Expected Starting Lineup:
3Shindo – 10Miyazawa(I) – 5Fukumori
7Lukas – 8Fukai – 27Arano – 4Suga
18Chanathip(K) – 11Anderson
MF Komai (R)
MF Nakahara (S/R)
FW Jay (S/R)
Prediction: 2-1 or 1-2
The odds on the total looks more or less correct here but could be an interesting match for in-play overs. There’s some tiny value on Consadole 1×2 @ 3,05 (10 units).
