FC Tokyo – Sagan Tosu:
Tokyo have been one of the more positive surprises so far this season with 2 good results away vs Kawasaki and Shonan and they have played well too. The Japanese wonderkid Kubo seems to have grown as a player and have added a new dimension to their attack and if he can continue that form Tokyo might be a team to be taken more seriously this year.
Sagan Tosu on the other hand have had a nightmare start with first losing 0-4 at home vs Nagoya and then 0-1 away vs Kobe last round. No goals scored, and barely any chances created and there’s still no news about Cuenca who were supposed to be their creative force.
With how the 2 teams have performed so far Tokyo should be considered big favorites here, but they have not exactly proved to be trustworthy before, especially not at home and they actually only won 1 out of their last 8 home-matches last season. And Sagan are unbeaten in 7 matches vs Tokyo, so I wouldn’t rule out them getting away with something here.
Expected Starting Lineup Tokyo:
2Muroya – 3Morishige (I) – 20Jang Hyun-Soo – 25Ogawa
10Higashi(I) – 18Hashimoto – 8Takahagi – 15Kubo
9Diego Oliveira(I) – 11Nagai
Expected Starting Lineup Sagan:
20Brucic – 3Yu.Takahashi – 5Galovic(I) – 35Fujita
14Yo.Takahashi – 36Hi.Takahashi
22Hara – 41Matsuoka – 44Kanazaki
MF Ishikawa (S/R)
Prediction: 2-0 or 2-1
Considering how poor Sagan have played so far it might be a bit of a long-shot, but I find decent value in Sagan 1×2 @ 5,06 (10 units). Tokyo are known for screwing up, and their home-form is anything but impressive. The Totals looks more or less correct.
