J.League 1 R3 – Consadole vs Shimizu Preview

Consadole Sapporo – Shimizu S-Pulse:

Consadole are riding high after that fantastic 2-0 win vs Urawa Reds away last round and it was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen of them. They completely outplayed Urawa and could have won by an even bigger margin.   They weren’t bad in R1 either when they narrowly lost vs Shonan away.

Shimizu on the other hand looked poor when they lost 2-4 vs Gamba at home last round and once again showed how fragile they can be at the back.  Their performance in R1 away vs wasn’t half-bad though, but they can not be happy with how the season have started for them overall.

Shimizu got a good grip on Consadole in recent matches though, especially away where they have 3 straight wins if we count all competitions.  But Consadole is a much better team now than at this stage last season + Shimizu are struggling with injuries to 2 key members in Elsinho and Douglas.

This will be Consadole’s first home-match this season and I expect a good crowd and think this time around that all 3 points will remain in Sapporo. It’s also a match that promises goals, so we should be in for an entertaining match.

Consadole Expected Starting Lineup:
3Shindo – 10Miyazawa(I) – 5Fukumori
7Lukas – 8Fukai – 27Arano – 4Suga
18Chanathip(K) – 11Anderson

Prediction: 2-1 or 3-1

Odds Info:
I got a big pref on home here, and Consadole -0,25 @ 1,97 (30 units) looks like a golden bet. I also expect goals, and the Over 2,5 @ 1,77 (20 units) is also very interesting.
