Shimizu S-Pulse – Gamba Osaka:
Good news for Shimizu as their ace striker Douglas’s move to the Chinese Super League have been cancelled, and that should boost their attack. He’s reportedly not fully fit though, so will most likely not take part in this game.
Shimizu’s opening match was quite good, and they were close to getting away with all 3 points away against Hiroshima. Gamba on the other hand looked horrible for most parts of the game in the 2-3 loss at home vs Marinos and they were lucky not to lose by a bigger margin.
Gamba are up against another team that’s stronger going forward than defending here so we could be in for another match with goals in it. Gamba won 2-1 here last season, but at this early stage it’s a difficult match to predict and it can go either way. I still got a small pref on Gamba though although their away-record last season was overall horrible.
Expected Starting Lineup Shimizu:
2Tatsuta* – 3Hwang Seok Ho – 33Wanderson – 25Matsubara
30Kaneko– 17Kawai(I) – 6Takeuchi – 27Iida*
20Nakamura* – 23Kitagawa
DF Elsinho (I)
MF Nishimura (S/R)
FW Douglas (K)
GK Rokutan (R/I)
Expected Starting Lineup Gamba:
22Oh – 19Kim(I) – 5Miura – 4Fujiharu
8Onose – 7Endo (I) – 10Kurata – 28Kou
9Ademilson – 16Hwang(K)
GK Tani (S/R)
MF Endo (I)
Prediction: 1-2 or 2-2
I find decent value in the Over 2,5 @1,82 (10 units) here, and at the current odds Gamba 1×2 @ 3,19 (10 units) is also interesting as Shimizu have been made too big favorites here.
