J.League 1 R28 – Iwata vs Shonan Preview

Jubilo Iwata – Shonan Bellmare:

Iwata is in poor form and have just won 1 out of their last 9 matches in the league.  They are in need of points as they are just 1 point clear of relegation. They are still without several key players, and Nakamura is also ruled out for this one now.

Shonan won the Levain Cup for the first time in the club’s history last weekend, so they are in high spirits. Their overall form is quite good too with 2-4-1 on their last 7 so they haven’t lost much lately. A win here would be a major step away from the relegation-battle, while a loss will put them right back into it.

Based on form and team-news I think Shonan got a good chance of 3 points here but this match is tough to predict and can go either way.  Got potential for goals too, especially considering Iwata are starting with 2 strikers opposed to the normal 4-2-3-1 formation. It’s worth a shot to take both Overs and 1×2 Shonan here I think.
