J.League 1 R30 – Tokyo vs Cerezo Preview

FC Tokyo – Cerezo Osaka:

2 teams in poor form, and both are in need of points here if they want to be in race for 3rd place and ACL next year. Especially Cerezo, and for them this is almost a must-win as they are about to fall too far behind the other teams up there.

Tokyo have just 1 wins on their last 9 matches, and have just scored 1 goal on their last 5 home-matches. They are not brimming with confidence, and need to find back to the form they showed earlier. The 2-1 win over Nagoya away last round was a much needed morale-boost though.

Cerezo are in equally poor form with 1 win on their last 8 matches. They got some good news here as both Kakitani and Sugimoto are expected to be back in the starting line-up for the first time in a while so that will boost their attack.

Tricky game to predict though and anything can happen here, but I don’t think it will end a draw and there’s good value on Cerezo 1×2.
