J.League 1 R29 – Cerezo vs Gamba Preview

Cerezo Osaka – Gamba Osaka:

Cerezo have been one big disappointment after the summer-break, and only got 3 wins in their last 13 matches in the league. They don’t lose that often, but have thrown away a lot of points with draws against weaker opponents.   They are not playing well either, and especially their offensive play have looked awful for most of this season. It doesn’t help that arguably their best player Kakitani seems to be on bad terms with the manager, and that Sugimoto – their “ace” striker, have been downright horrible.

Gamba on the other hand are back on track with 3 straight wins and have taken a big step away from the relegation-zone.  They will be without their best player here as FW Hwang is suspended, which could be a blow.

This being a derby it’s hard to predict, but I’m not ruling out a Gamba-win considering the 2 team’s form. With both teams being weakened in attack the Under 2,75 also are of interest.
