J.League 1 R8 – Kashima vs Nagoya Preview

Kashima Antlers – Nagoya Grampus:

Kashima are in poor form and have lost 3 out of their last 5 league-matches. They have been playing poorly too with 2 deserved losses in a row against Shonan and Tokyo as well as the disappointing performance in the 0-0 draw at home vs Consadole. They’ve struggled with injuries and a tough schedule lately and are still missing quite a few players although it isn’t as bad as last week.

Nagoya is also really out of it with 4 straight losses, but if we take away the 0-3 loss away against Consadole 2 rounds ago they haven’t been playing all that badly.  Their defending leaves a lot to be desired, but Kashima hasn’t exactly been lethal in attack so far this season.

It’s a difficult match and as always with Nagoya we could be in for a goal-fest, but with their playmaker Gabriel still out as well as Kashima’s poor goalscoring form I find good value on the under and is backing the Under 3 with a medium bet.  Odds is also way too low on Kashima, and although I don’t really fancy Nagoya here the odds on them are good.
