J.League 1 R4 – Tokyo vs Shonan Preview

FC Tokyo – Shonan Bellmare:

Tokyo have been one of the highest spending teams in the league the last couple of seasons but are yet to transform that into any success on the field, and this season seems to be another disappointment for their fans. They have looked extremely poor so far, especially going forward and there doesn’t seem to be any plan whatsoever to their attacking play. They got some good players here and there but nobody at FC Tokyo seems to be pulling in the same direction at the moment.

Shonan are so far unbeaten in the league with relatively strong performances vs both Kawasaki and Nagoya which they held to a draw.  Could very well see this one end a draw as well as Tokyo doesn’t seem capable in causing much problems for other teams at the moment.  Don’t think it will be a particularly entertaining match with chances far and between, but odds on Under seems more or less correct.  Tokyo should be favorites due to the  home-advantage, and might edge out a win but will probably not be much between the 2 teams.
