J.League is finally back, and it all kicks off with Marinos vs Urawa in Yokohama. Urawa have already 2 games under their belts, and looked fantastic in ACL midweek when they demolished Western Sydney. Rate them as a much better team than Marinos as well, and the home-side got a lot of new players so they might need some time to adapt to eachother. The -0,25 bet on Urawa looks great here.
The biggest bet of the round is Hiroshima -1 at home vs Albirex. Don’t rate Albirex at all this season, as they have changed 3/4’s of their team, and seemingly not for the better. Hiroshima are a good home-team who often wins by more than 1 goal, so this bet is a no-brainer.
Vegalta is another team I don’t rate this season, as they’ve sold away all their offensive power and replaced them with at best average players. Consadole looks the better team on paper for me, so when I can get +0,50 on them here that looks very promising. Also combined it with a 1×2 bet on them.
Shimizu – Kobe are 2 teams that are better going forward than defending, and I expect goals at both ends here. The Over 2,5 line looks way too low, but then again it is the opening game of the season so anything can happen. Still, its worth backing with a medium-sized bet.
Reysol looks like a possible candidate for the title or atleast ACL this season, and should be the favorite here away against Sagan. Sagan are a decent home-team, but don’t really rate them too high, and it should be a big difference in quality between the 2 teams here. DNB price at over 2,00 looks golden.
Cerezo was very over at home in J2 last season, and I expect similar numbers this year as they look stronger in attack. Kiyotake will not play this game though, but with Kakitani back from injury they still look stronger than what they did most parts of last season. The Over 2,25 line holds good value here as I think we’ll see goals at both ends.
I’m backing the underdog in Omiya vs Kawasaki. Omiya only lost 1 out of their last 11 games last season, and the +0,5 price on them here is ridiculous. They aren’t that much weakened (if at all), while Kawasaki have lost both their best striker as well as manager. Combining that one with a 1×2 bet on the home-side.
At last, Gamba vs Kofu also looks very interesting, and to me wrongly priced. Gamba should bea much bigger favorite than what the odds suggest, and can’t see Kofu’s retirement home of a defence have any chance vs Gamba’s attack. Like both the over and home.
