A-League R27 Betting Previews & Injury Updates

Melbourne City – Adelaide United:

Melbourne City missing:
DF Zullo (R)
FW Gameiro (S/R)
FW Dekker (S/R)

Adelaide United missing:
FW Babalj (S/R)

Both teams are still in the race for the Premier’s plate, and for M Victory it is a 100% must-win game.  Adelaide could still end up with the trophy even with a draw, but likely to see them go all out for the win as well.

Should be a very interesting game then in other words, that promises goals as well. M City lost 2-3 away vs Perth last round, but had 4 straight wins prior to that. Scored a ton of goals, especially at home. Adelaide got 2 straight wins, and are still one of the form-teams of the league and unbeaten on 9 away-matches.

Not much between the teams in terms of quality, but think the home-advantage will tip this one into M City’s favour.

Prediction: 2-1 or 3-2

My odds: -0,25 @  2,02 / Over 3,25 @ 1,88
Market Price: -0,25 @ 1,92 / Over 3,25 @ 1,99

Over 3,25 @ 1,99 (5 units)
Adelaide 1×2 @ 3,21 (5 units)

Central Coast Mariners – Newcastle Jets:

CC Mariners missing:
GK Heward-Belle (S/R)
DF Uskok (S/R)
DF Roux (R)

Newcastle Jets missing:
DF Boogard (R)
MF Haliti (S/R)

Both teams with nothing to play for, but it is a F3-derby, so motivation should still be high for this particular match. Mariners have 0-1-8 on their last 9, and seem really out of it. Conceded 14 goals in their last 3 matches, and have collapsed entirely.

Jets not much better the last couple of weeks with just 0-1-4 on their last 5, but all matches were fairly evenly contested and Jets could have gotten away with a lot more points. Are the better team here, and should be the favorite I think.   Expect goals as well.

Prediction: 1-2 or 2-2

My odds: +0,25 @ 2,02 / Over 2,75 @  1,87
Market Price: +0,25 @ 1,92 / Over 3 @ 2,00

Newcastle Jets DNB @ 1,69 (5 units)

Melbourne Victory – Brisbane Roar:

Melbourne Victory missing:
DF Ansell (R)
DF Georgievski (R)
MF Mahazi (R)
FW Berisha (K)

Brisbane Roar missing:
DF Polenz (S/R)

M Victory with little to play for, as the chances of getting 5th are very small, and they are already guaranteed playoff-football anyway.  Had ACL as well earlier this week, so this match has clearly not been their 1st priority.  Got 2 straight wins in the league though, but will have to do without key FW Berisha here.

Brisbane got 4 wins in their last 5, and will take the Premier’s Plate home with a win here.   Their away-form is alarming though, as they have lost 4 of their last 5 away-matches and only picked up 3 away-wins all season.

Looks like another potential goal-fest, and have to back Brisbane here for pure motivation. A lot will depends on how the match between M City and Adelaide goes though.

Prediction: 2-3 or 1-3

My oddS: +0,5 @  1,81 / Over 3 @  1,86
Market Price: +0,25 @ 1,85 / Over 3 @ 2,03

Brisbane Roar -0,25 @  2,04 (10 units)
Over 3 @ 2,03 (5 units)

Wellington Phoenix – Western Sydney Wanderers:

Wellington Phoenix missing:
MF Riera (I)

Western Sydney missing:

Nothing to play for for Wellington, and they have taken vacation already it seems based on their last results.  2 big defeats in a row, and looks really bad defensively.

W Sydney won 4-1 last round, but have been a bit all over the place lately. 5-4-4 away this season, but on pure motivation they should be a big favorite here.  A draw will most likely not be worth much, so expect them to push hard for the win no matter the results in the previous matches, which could potentially lead to Wellington snatching a late win too.

Prediction: 1-2 or 2-1

My odds: +0,5 @  1,92 / Over 2,75 @  1,94
Market Price: +0,75 @ 1,97 / Over 3 @1,92

Wellington 1×2 @ 4,89 (2,5 units)

Sydney FC – Perth Glory:

Sydney FC missing:
DF Anderson (R)
FW Brosque (R)

Perth Glory missing:
MF Zadkovich (R)

Nothing to play for for Sydney, who got ACL to think about as well.

Perth are in amazing form, but they are just 1 point too much behind to still have a chance at 1st.  If results goes their way, they can still end up in 2nd though, but will need a big win here then.

Should be a big away-favorite, and can’t really see Sydney get away with anything.

Prediction: 1-3

My oddS: +0,5 @  1,94 / Over 2,75 @  1,81
Market Price: +0,25 @ 1,95 / Over 2,75 @ 1,84

Perth -0,25 @ 1,92 (7,5 units)
Over 2,75 @ 1,84 (2,5 units)
