Nice win for Kofu in their opener away vs Kobe, but tend to struggle more against good teams. Also had a very bad home-record last season, and only won 1 out of their last 11 home-games last season.

Gamba have already played 4 competitive matches this season, but failed to win any of them. Had to settle for a draw at home vs M Victory in ACL midweek, and have lost both their 2 matches against Japanese teams. Need a win here to get their season running, but varied a lot away last season. Should still be a rather clear favorite here though, and expect them to rotate some of their players as well like last round. Tricky total as it is under vs over.

Prediction: 1-2 or 0-2

My odds: +0,25 @ 2,01 / Over 2,5 @ 2,04
Market price: +0,5 @ 1,91 / Over 2,25 @ 2,09

13Miyazaki – 7Ueda
15Adailton (K) – 4Kobayashi – 9Ota
8Jay (K)

Missing:

Urawa off to a good start both in the ACL and the league, but lost 1—0 away to Pohang Steelers in ACL midweek. Used a weakened squad though, and left 5 regulars home in Japan.

Iwata lost their opening match 0-1 at home vs Nagoya, and I expect an even tougher match for them here. They got a very good attack, and their ace FW Jay will be back in action for them here. But will be very surprised if Urawa doesn’t end up with all 3 points.

Prediction: 3-1

My odds: -1@ 2,01 / Over 3 @ 1,94
Market Price: Urawa -1,25 @ 1,98 / Over 3 @ 2,05

Bets:
Over 3 @ 2,05 ( 2,5 units)

Predicted Starting Lineup Hiroshima:
3-4-2-1:

5Chiba – 33Shiotani – 19Sasaki

25Chashima – 30Shibasaki
11Sato(K)

Missing:
MF Ka.Morisaki (R)

Nice win for Nagoya in their opening match, and their new Swedish FW Simovic showed he will be a very tough player to stop if used correctly this season.

Hiroshima with 3 straight losses now, and their good performance in the Supercup-final a 2 weeks earlier already seems like a very long time ago- Lost 1-4 in Korea in ACL midweek, but fielded a weakened squad.

They are unbeaten for 17 straight away-matches in J.League though, and their last loss came in their first away-match last season which incidentally was against Nagoya. With such a strong away-record I got to back them here as well though, but shouldn’t underestimate Nagoya. Think we will see some goals.

Prediction: 1-2 or 2-2

My odds: +0,25 @ 2,00 / Over 2,5 @ 1,89
Market Price: +0,25 @ 1,95 / Over 2,5 @1,91

Bets:

Vegalta Sendai – FC Tokyo:

Predicted Starting Lineup Vegalta:
4-4-2:
1Rokutan
27Oiwa – 13Hiraoka – 3Watanabe – 5Ishikawa
7Okuno – 10Ryang (I) – 17Tomita – 26Fujimura
9Wilson (I) – 14Kanakubo

Missing:
AM Ramon Lopes (R)

Predicted Starting Lineup Tokyo:
4-4-2:
47Akimoto
2Tokunaga – 3Morishige (I) – 5Maruyama – 25Ogawa
38Higashi – 10Kajiyama – 7Yonemoto (I) – 48Mizunuma
20Maeda (I) – 44Abe

Missing:
DF Komano (R)
MF Ha (R)
MF Ishikawa (S/R)

Great win for Vegalta in R1, as they beat Marinos 1-0 away. That was one of the biggest surprises last round, along with Tokyo’s home-defeat against Omiya.

Vegalta had a rather poor home-record last season, and oculd be in for a struggle here I think. Tokyo will be looking for 3 points as they lost their opening match, and are a pretty strong away-team. Rate them as a much better side than Vegalta overall too, and expect them to atleast get away with a result here. Slight under-pref, but don’t’ trust either teams this early in the season.

Prediction: 0-1 or 1-1

My odds: +0,25 @ 1,99 / Over 2,5 @ 2,09
Market Price: DNB @2,07 / Over 2,25 @ 1,88

Bets:
FC Tokyo DNB @1,85 ( 5 units)
